It was a pleasure to welcome Philip New, CEO of the Energy Systems Catapult, and Stuart Broadley, CEO of the Energy Industries Council to discuss this most important subject for the future prosperity of the UK. Philip's message was that we should all be doing everything we can to maximise decarbonisation and this should be achieved through a set of lateral aggregations. These start with us as consumers, then our homes, buildings, towns, cities and a National approach. Stuart's focus as you would expect was on energy. He highlighted the Government’s 10 Point Plan and where we had had success, in particular offshore wind where we are now the world’s largest producer of electricity from wind. There are great opportunities for the UK in this Sector.
