Air Commodore Paul Godfrey OBE discussed the genesis of the newly formed Space Command and the challenges of bringing the Command from Powerpoint into practice. Three pillars make up the joint command: operations, training and capability although the relationship between the three must eventually become horizontal. In the future, the Space Command must focus on forming an organisational design and a coherent strategy in order to get to 2030 in a good position. As Space Command moves into its initial operating capability, there will be a need for a huge amount of engagement in the coming years.
