Roger Gonourie joined Crown Commercial Services (CCS), Cabinet Office in November 2022 as Chief Commercial Officer and is a member of the Executive Board.
Prior to joining CCS, Roger was Head of Global Sourcing for Swiss Re responsible for establishing a professional procurement function for the management of Swiss Re's external spend portfolio. Roger also served in senior Procurement Director roles for Novartis, based in Basel and Pfizer at their regional headquarters based in the UK, leading teams responsible for procurement across the pharma, consumer, animal health and nutrition businesses. In addition, his career spans procurement in retail and transport. He gained extensive transformation experience in procurement, supply chain and Digital, from his 10+ years consulting for Coopers & Lybrand/PricewaterhouseCoopers after starting his career as a design engineer at Land Rover.
Roger is a graduate of the University of Sussex, United Kingdom with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.
