BEI and D Group members have a wide range of experience and in-depth understanding of the skills landscape, both in the UK and internationally. Drawing on this experience, this workshop will explore what individual providers can do and are already doing to achieve significant change in their target markets, in the face of challenges common to all geographies. The session will focus on bringing together best-practice approaches to skills provision in international and domestic markets.

The workshop will identify practical steps and actions which improve the skills outcomes for workforces nationally and internationally. The event will also provide a timely opportunity to discuss the Post-16 Education and Skills white paper, published last week by the UK government.

We would like to invite participants to come prepared to talk about best-practice examples they have developed or seen in action, covering the following areas:

• How to engage with government stakeholders, both in the UK and internationally, and align to government policies;

• How to engage with industry;

• How to attract investment into skills programmes from a diverse range of stakeholders.
