The D Group, in partnership with Serco and the UK Resilience Academy is delighted to be hosting this key round table with Roger Hargreaves and Damian Johnson
This round table will highlight the existing plans across both Civil and Military environments to invest in and enhance our national resilience in the face of growing direct and ‘grey zone’ threats. It will provide a platform to explore how industry can support the work of government is this critical area.
Roger Hargreaves is the Director of the COBR Directorate within the Cabinet Office, which is responsible for preparing for, responding to and learning lessons from major emergencies. This central unit coordinates planning across and beyond government departments and maintains the government crisis response mechanism, Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms (COBR)
Damian Johnson MBE is the Director of Homeland Defence, MoD. In this role Damian oversees, together with the Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Military Strategy), strategic policy, planning and prioritisation of Defence activity. He is the senior policy lead for MOD’s contribution to UK Homeland Defence, national resilience and preparedness for crisis and conflict.
The UK Resilience Academy (UKRA) is the leading national provider of resilience training and education, expertise and resources. It brings together people, organisations, and communities, convening them in the national resilience conversation, and equipping them with the tools and knowledge to help build greater societal resilience.
Serco currently run the UKRA on behalf of The Cabinet Office, and have supported military outcomes and readiness for over 60 years.
