Tara Heidger is the President and Managing Director of the U.S. Office for M&C Saatchi World Services, based in New York, NY. In this role, she oversees major U.S. Government communications contracts that deliver content around the world.
Prior to this position, Tara served for nine years on active duty in the U.S. Army Special Operations community. She left active duty in 2014 to pursue a dual graduate program at Columbia University, studying International Security Policy and International Urban Planning with a focus on post-conflict cities in the Global South. She later completed the Fellowship in Global Journalism at the University of Toronto.
Alongside her professional work, Tara has contributed as a freelance journalist for News Decoder and has been published in The Wall Street Journal, Military Times, and Open Canada. She is now in her eleventh year as a U.S. Army Reservist, has served as a fellow with the Modern War Institute at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, where she teaches a course on urban renewal in Ghana.
Tara resides in the Greater New York City area with her husband and three daughters.
