Matt is an Army officer with over 20 years' experience solving complex organisational, operational, and policy challenges across Defence, government, and international partners. He has a track record advising senior decision-makers, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering change in complex, fast-moving environments.

As Chief of Staff for the Defence Investment Plan, operating at the junction of strategy, investment, policy, and delivery, he brought together the cross-Whitehall team which enabled Ministerial decisions on Defence’s £298bn investment programme. In addition, he recently completed his MBA and the Army’s Advanced Development Programme with McKinsey and Company.  His global operational experience includes working to deliver innovative, strategic capabilities to partners in Ukraine.
