Katya Gorbatiouk is Head of Investment Funds in Primary Capital Markets at the London Stock Exchange, leading its franchise across listed closed-end funds, ETPs, and private fund capital raising via LSEG’s Digital Market Infrastructure. She has over 25 years’ experience in international capital markets.

She received Investment Week’s 2024 Jackie Beard Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry, recognising her role in addressing regulatory barriers to capital formation for listed investment companies. Her team has driven significant growth in the Exchange’s ETP franchise, contributing to its recognition as Best European Exchange for Listing ETFs in 2025.

Katya is a member of the Financial Reporting Council’s Stakeholder Insight Group and contributes to the Investor Forum’s work on improving dialogue across the investment chain. She also serves on the Investor Relations Society’s Best Practice Committee.

Earlier in her career, Katya spent 15 years in investment banking at Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, and Barclays, advising on M&A, equity, debt, and principal investments.

She is a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. Beyond finance, she serves as a Governor of the London Institute of Mathematical Sciences and chairs the Advisory Board of UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies.
