Greg Wilson is an award-winning C-suite Executive and Board Member specializing in global strategy, digital sovereignty, and complex risk across hyperscale cloud, AI, and national security. As the Managing Director of Global Strategy & Product Advocacy at Google Cloud, he advises governments, and enterprises on complex global policy, data sovereignty, digital identity, and cybersecurity issues. He is globally responsible for overseeing strategic risk and compliance engagements, including critical Regulator and Customer audits.

Prior to Google, Greg served over four years in senior leadership at Microsoft, culminating as the Worldwide Public Sector Government Chief Technology Officer. In this global capacity, he successfully guided governments across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia through large-scale digital transformation and architected complex public sector and defense procurement programs leveraging his expertise in AI, ML, and cloud.

His private sector transition followed a distinguished 32-year career in the British Army, where he retired as a Brigadier General in the Royal Signals. A recognized executive leader in transformation, he led the delivery of a large-scale digital transformation program impacting over 50,000 personnel and served both as a UK Government High Risk Programme Reviewer and Army’s Head of Capability for C4STAR. His leadership record includes operational command experience and roles with Joint Forces, Divisional Headquarters, Airborne, Gurkha, Commando, and UK Special Forces in a range of conflict zones including Afghanistan, Iraq, Balkans, Northern Ireland and Sierra Leone. He also revised and then implemented the UK’s deployable Signal Brigade construct as their inaugural Brigade Commander under Army 2020-30.

An accomplished, sought after speaker and panelist, Greg is an award-winning leader, earning the 2020 UK IT Industry Best Police and Defence Project Award, the 2017 UK Business Leader Award for Project Delivery and Business Excellence Award at the World Leaders Conclave 2025. He is also a professionally qualified Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional, and Chartered Manager as well as Fellow BCS, IET and Companion of the CMI.  He was also selected for the UK military fellowship to Harvard Business School (AMP 189) and is a graduate of King's College London and Cranfield University.
