Best-Practice Approaches to Sector and Place-Based Skills
Event details
Join us at 23 Grafton Street for a review of the approach taken in the nuclear industry to build a truly collaborative approach across government, industry, academia, education and commerce to address the long term need for the nuclear industry: bothspecific skills and the place-based skills requirements for specific towns (like Barrow and Plymouth) with a high density of specific skills requirements.
Our panel includes Collette McMullen, Skills Director at Babcock and Board Member of the Nuclear Skills Delivery Group; Mark Rouse, Nuclear Sector Skills Team Director and co-chairman, the Nuclear Skills Delivery Group; and a key speaker from the University of Lancaster. Each panellist will explore the challenges they face, the approach they have taken, the key learning to date and plans for the future.
This will be of value to all organisations who are actively participating in the challenges of sector and place based skills.
The panel discussion and associated Q&A will also be a key input, alongside additional expert interviews, to a report due to launch in Autumn 2025 highlighting various approaches to the challenges of building effective sector skills plans.
