Ben Barry OBE was the author of the Army’s lessons learned analysis of post-conflict stabilisation of Iraq, and as such it was particularly valuable to hear his insights on the implications of developments in Afghanistan. Topics covered included the future of NATO and the conceptual development of 'Global Britain', as well as the Defence Command Paper's provisions for MoD engagement with SMEs.
