Roger was appointed as Chair of the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation (CDEI) in July 2018, finishing in July 2021. He is also a member of the advisory group for HM Inspectorate of Probation. He acted as the Chair of the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) from December 2016-December 2020. Prior to being appointed as Chair of Ofqual, he was a member of Ofqual’s Board. He has worked in media, industry and regulation over the course of his career.
